É o sétimo single do Depeche Mode,  gravado no Blackwing Studios , lançado originalmente em 31 de janeiro de 1983. É o primeiro single do Depeche Mode com Alan Wilder como membro oficial da banda,  composto também com a primeira canção escrita por ambos Martin Gore e Wilder ("The Great Outdoors!").
"Get the Balance Right!" Não foi incluída no álbum seguinte  Construction Time Again, mas aparece nas compilações americanas  “People Are People” e “The Singles 81-85” .
